Eva “Jean “ Hood, 76, of Moline, died Saturday, September 3, 2005 at the home of her daughter, in Homer Glen , IL.
Funeral Services will be 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2005, at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline and 12:30 a.m., at St. Mary‘s Catholic Church, Moline, where she was a member. Visitation is Tuesday from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home, where the St. Mary’s Altar and Rosary Society will recite a Rosary at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be at Moline Memorial Park Cemetery, Memorials may be made to St. Mary‘s Church or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
The former Eva Jean Rosenberger was born December 5, 1928, in DeWitte, IA, the daughter of Lyle & Ida Lenahan Rosenberger. She married Leroy “Lee” Hood June 12, 1948, in East Moline.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Altar & Rosary Society, and had volunteered at the Food Pantry at the church. She was a graduate of United Township High School and got together with her high school group of friends regularly. Jean loved her family and grandchildren. She especially enjoyed family birthdays and holidays.
Survivors include her husband, LeRoy, daughters and sons in Law; Janet & Joseph Duffy, Cozad, NE, Jill & Larry Setser, Moline, Joy Bean Minneapolis, MN, and Julie & Evan Fiffles, Homer Glen, IL. There are 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
