Joseph Segura

Joseph N. Segura, of Plano, TX, formerly of Moline, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at Prestonwood Rehab & Nursing, Plano, TX.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, March 22, 2018, at St. Mary’s Church, Moline. Visitation is Thursday from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the Congregation of the Humility of Mary, 820 W Central Park Avenue, Davenport, 52804.

Joseph was born April 15, 1921, in Dodge City, KS, the son of Juan and Maria (Noriega) Segura. He married Aurelia Vasquez on September 22, 1951, in West Des Moines, IA. She preceded him in death on April 1, 2006.

Joseph worked at the Rock Island Arsenal as a Mechanical Engineer.

He enjoyed golf and gardening.

Joseph is survived by his daughter, Valerie Segura, Little Elm, TX; son John Segura, Glen Ellyn, IL; grandchildren, Jessica and Allison; great-grandson, Adam Jr. “A.J”; and 8 sisters and brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Aurelia, and son, Ralph Joseph Segura (1984)
