Mary J. “Sis” Van Hulle, 82, of Moline, died Saturday, November 19, 2005 at Oak Glen Home, Coal Valley, IL.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, November 22nd, 9:15 a.m. at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline, and 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline. Visitation is 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.
The former Mary J. Drehman Burton was born August 23, 1923, in Tampico, IL, the daughter of Raymond & Esther Swanson Drehman. She married Mitchell Van Hulle October 23, 1990, in Rock Island.
Mary was employed as office manager for the Volkswagen car dealership, in East Moline, retiring in 1985.
Mrs. Van Hulle was a former member of Sacred Heart Church and the National Catholic Society of Foresters, Sacred Heart Court 956.
Survivors include her husband, Mitchell, daughters Barbara Wassell & Carol Cather, both of East Moline, Cheryl Irwin, Davenport, and a son, Gene Burton, Viola. IL. There are 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother Dale Drehman.
