Anthony Sotelo

Anthony Paul Sotelo of Moline, IL, was born to Anthony and Dorothy (Martel) Sotelo on April 11th, 1966. He passed away unexpectedly on August 22nd, 2019, in his home. 
Visitation is Tuesday, August 27th from 4 - 7 p.m. at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline.

Tony completed the Apprenticeship and worked as a Union Journeyman Brick Mason for many years, until injuries lead him to pursue other opportunities. He worked at Dollar General, The Nova 6 theater, and 7-11 for a brief time. 

Tony was an avid reader, chess player, and a guitar enthusiast and player. He was also an accomplished martial artist and studied several different styles including Kuk Sool Won, Aikido, Shotokan and Tai Chi. 

Tony is survived by his mother, Dorothy Sotelo, his brother Stanley Sotelo, sister in law Geanie Sotelo, and nephews Spencer and Samuel Sotelo, and many aunts and uncles. 

Tony was preceded in death by his father, Anthony Sotelo, and both maternal and paternal grandparents.  In lieu of flowers, donations made be made to the family.
