Carla A. Schillinger

Carla A. Schillinger, 53, of Rock Island, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at her residence. 

Visitation will be from 9:00 - 10:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline, IL. Memorials may be made to the family. 

Carla was born October 6, 1970, in Geneseo, IL, the daughter of Lloyd and Marjorie (Westerhof) Schillinger. She was a courageous, kind and thoughtful woman. Carla always had a smile for family and friends no matter what the circumstances. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was strong but somewhat silent in her faith. Carla loved Bingo, going out to listen to live music (especially the music of the Night People), Hallmark Christmas movies, Jeopardy, Trivia and dogs.

She leaves behind her life partner of nearly 30 years, John Bogart, brothers and sisters-in-law, Ernie and Sara Schillinger and Barry and Lydia Schillinger, nieces, Hayden and Halley, nephews, Matt, Ryan and Andrew and dear friend, Suzanne Bogart. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Brenda Papke and nephew, Kevin.
