Cleora Spinello Obituary

Cleora G. Spinello, 98, of Moline, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Hope Creek Care Center East Moline, IL. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2023, at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend can meet at DeRoo Funeral Home, 1811 15th Street Moline, at 12:30 pm Friday.

Cleora was born April 16, 1925, in Bremerton, WA, the daughter of Robert and Gutha (Palmer) Mowbray. She married Jacob W. Spinello on February 19, 1946, in Lancaster, PA. He preceded her in death on January 16, 2014.

Cleora was a former member of Christ the King Church, Moline. She truly enjoyed gardening, her flowers, cats, hummingbirds, cooking and spending time with her family and neighbors.

She is survived by her daughter, Marie Spinello, Davenport, sons, Jack, Coal Valley, IL and Bob (Delynn) Spinello, Brandon, MS, 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.
