Obituary
Doloros McHenry, 98, of Rock Island, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at Friendship Manor, Rock Island. Private family services will be held. Burial will be 10 a.m. August 17, 2022, at Rock Island National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend can meet at DeRoo Funeral Home, at 9:30 am. Memorials may be made to the family to be donated.
Doloros was born May 8, 1924, in Lansing, IA, the daughter of Clarence J. and Getsy (Harwick) Gonyier. She married Eugene E. McHenry on September 26, 1970, in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on August 5, 1996.
Doloros was employed as a custodian for the Moline Board of Education.
She is survived by her son, Joseph (Lisa) Hawotte, and Thomas (Roz) Hawotte.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene, son, Dick Howotte, sisters, Clarice O’Meara, Dorothy Weber, Roberta Greeno and brothers, Keith Gonyier and Michael Hawotte.
