Obituary

James "Jim" DeJonghe, 69 of Moline passed away Tuesday Jun 21, 2022, peacefully at home surrounded by family.  At his request there will be No service or visitation.   A memorial gathering will be hosted by family at a later date.  

Jim was born May 15, 1953 in Moline to JoAnn (Carlson) and Robert DeJonghe. Jim was married to Christine Ann Long  March 1977 until she passed November 2007.  In June 2010 Jim remarried Lori L. Priest (Leebold) in Rock Island.  

Jim retired from John Deere PVC in Milan, October 2005. after holding numerous jobs at various plant locations throughout his career.  

Jim was a very mild mannered individual who enjoyed the great outdoors.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing.  He enjoyed taking weekend or day trips to Galena, Amana Colonies, Kolona and Wisconsin or even just taking a long drive.  

Jim leaves behind his loving wife Lori, daughter Mel DeJonghe Chicago, son and daughter in law James DeJonghe II ( Kim) Rock Island, daughter Elizabeth DeJonghe Rock Island,  sister Patricia Caldwell (Terry) Moline,   stepsons Joe Leebold Davenport, and Jon Leebold Milan. grandchildren Eli, Isaac, Ella, Teryn, and Nolan, along with many nieces and nephews.
