Jesusa Reyes

Jesusa G. Reyes, 86, recently of Indianapolis, formerly of Moline, IL, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at Greenwood Meadows, Greenwood, IN. 

Visitation is Saturday, July 15, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 12:00 p.m. at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline, now located at 1811, 15th Street Place, Moline (Inside Wendt Funeral Home). Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline.

Jesusa was born March 22, 1936, in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, the daughter of Jose and Eustolia Garza.

Jesusa loved her family deeply and her time working at Ericsson School where she was a lunch monitor and playground attendant. She was a great cook, and she enjoyed sharing her food with everyone. She was very fond of cardinals and she loved red roses. She will be greatly missed by her children and their spouses; Ruben (Gwen) Escajeda, Geri (Art) Purdy, Mark (Mona) Reyes, Sonia (Sean) Cook and Rey (Kim) Reyes, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Agustin L. Reyes, sons, Augustine Reyes Jr, Roberto Reyes, and daughter, Angela Reyes, parents, Eustolia and Jose Garza, sister, Josefina Mireles, brother, Jose Garza. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.deroofuneralhome.com
