Maria De Lourdes Rodriguez Avila

Maria De Lourdes Rodriguez Avila, 40, of Moline, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Aurora St. Luke’s Hospital, Milwaukee, WI.  

Visitation is Thursday, February 13, from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Church, Moline. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery, Moline. Memorials may be given to the family for a fund to be established.   

Maria was born February 11, 1979 in GTO, Mexico, the daughter of Jose Rodriguez and Antonia Avila.  She married Jorge Huaracha Ortiz after being together since 1995.     She loved being a mother above anything else and was a great friend, cousin, wife and daughter. She was also a wonderful stay at home mom. She loved cooking for her family and would always provide their needs. Throughout her battle , she fought the cancer as much as she could but sadly the cancer won against her. Maria will continued to be remembered by loved ones. She is survived by her husband Jorge who deeply loved her with all his heart and cared for her more than anything.
