Maurice Davis

Maurice Davis, 55, of Moline, departed life on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at his residence. Visitation is 1-3 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2023, at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline. 

Maurice was born July 18, 1967, in Chicago, IL, to the union of Lorenzo Davis, Sr. and Darlene Walls. He was raised by Henry Jasper, step-father, who entered his life in 1972. He attended John Harvard Elementary School and Englewood High School in Chicago. 

Maurice will be deeply missed by his family. There was nothing he would not do for the people he loved. He was always smiling, making jokes and quick to use his favorite sayings of I got you or don't even worry I got you. Maurice was an extremely giving person and was always there for the people who needed him. He was a gentle giant and was known to his mom as "Feets". He loved calling his mom "mommy dearest" and giving her a kiss on the cheek and pinching her chin.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Joaquin, Keira, Lilly, and Almaya, mom, Darlene, dad, Henry, sisters, Beatrice Davis, and Latrice Davis-Jasper, brothers, Lorenzo Davis III, Citrick Davis, Henry Davis, Jr., Derrick Davis and the late Martin Luther Davis, aunts, Sharlene Walls, Betty Walls, Daisy Walls and Jereline Walls, uncles, Roderick Walls, Sr., and Patrick Walls, nieces, Alexia, Crystal, Danae, Dameia, Shante, and Laraya, nephews, Leon, Chris, Alante and Issac.
