Michael Mix

Michael Mix, 42, of East Moline, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Genesis Medical Center - Illini Campus, Silvis.

Visitation is 1 - 3 p.m. Wednesday March 31 at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline, followed by a time of family sharing at 3 p.m.

Masks will be provided by the funeral home and state guidelines will be followed.

Mike was born March 1, 1979 in Silvis, the son of Thomas H. and Darlene D. (Dennhardt) Mix. He married Amanda McConnell on July 14, 2007 in Moline.

He excelled at learning new trades and mostly recently was employed as a carpenter. He lived and breathed car racing, loved his family and children and was constantly on the move doing something.

He is survived by his wife, Amanda, children, Joey and Hillary Dorsey, Johnny McConnell Mix, Jenna Mix, Tristan Mix, Rebecca McConnell, grandson Liam Dorsey, niece and nephew, Alexandra and Alexander Burroughs sister, Machel Jenkins, parents, Tom and Darlene, mother-in-law, Kim Masters, father--in-law, Scott Masters, brother-in-law, Dusty Dorsey and Mike's countless friends who became family.
