Mitchell Jose Villarreal

Mitchell Jose Villarreal 65, of Moline, IL passed away Thursday, December 15th, 2022, in Silvis Genesis Medical Center, Silvis, IL. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 10:00 am - 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline. 

Mitch was born July 13th, 1957, in Moline son of Jose Villarreal of Laredo TX and Esther Villarreal (Campos) of Moline. Went and Graduated Moline School’s 1976, enlisted in the Marines out of high school from 1976-1980. moved to Lafayette LA for years and returned back to Moline, and worked at Bowe Machine Company, Bettendorf IA, was with his girlfriend Roberta Potter for years before her passing in 2016, was called grandpa by her grandkids, loved sitting with his little chihuahua’s, watching TV and golfing with family.

Those he leaves behind with love and memories include sisters, Deborah Villarreal of Moline and Yolanda Southerland and her husband Gregory of Moline, brother Rudy Villarreal of Dover New Jersey, nieces Brooke, Stephanie, Sabrina, nephews, Adam, Christian, Nicholas, Jacob, Xavier, Cody, Elayna, Dominic, Drake and Dakota, Preceded in death by maternal and paternal grandparents, both parents Jose, Esther and brother Chris Villarreal, sister-in-law, Susan Villarreal and nephew, Alex Villarreal.
