Pearl A. Johnston

Pearl A. Johnston, 88, of East Moline, passed away peacefully Friday, April 19, 2024, at her residence surrounded by family. A Celebration of Life will be held on 

May 11th, 2024, at 2pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. 2767 9th St. Rock Island, IL 61201.  DeRoo Funeral Home, 1811 15th Street Place, Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Pearl was born January 22, 1936, in Moline. She married Marvin Johnston on March 14, 1970, in Milan, IL, and he preceded her in death April 2, 2016. Pearl was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and enjoyed gliding on her swing at home and feeding her wild birds.

She will be missed by her children, Matthew (Amanda) Johnston, Suzanne R. Niner, Greg (Barbara) Ackerland, Brett Ackerland, Scott (Jamie) Ackerland many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
