Stacey Nadine Hoover

Stacey Nadine Hoover, 48, of Carbon Cliff, IL, went to be with her Lord Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, surrounded by her family. Cremation rites were accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 - 4 pm Sunday, September 11, 2022 at The Rock, 302 1st Street, Coal Valley, IL. 

Stacey was born in Rock Island, IL on October 15, 1973, the daughter of Pamela Hughes. She was a graduate of Rock Island High School in 1992 and then attended Blackhawk College. She was a lifelong member of South Park Presbyterian Church, Rock Island.

Stacey overcame many challenges throughout her life. She always had a smile for everyone she encountered. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She particularly enjoyed family game nights. She loved country music and attending concerts, especially the Mississippi Valley Fair. Stacey also enjoyed watching her "soaps", game shows, reality tv shows, NASCAR and The Golden Girls. She loved talking on the phone for hours with her family and friends about these shows and games. 

Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Pam, Carbon Cliff; aunts, Sherry (Terry) McFall, OH, Mary Jo (Rich) Reed, Coal Valley, IL; cousins, Mike McFall, Atlanta, GA, Cody McFall, OH, Brad (Kayla) Reed, Davenport, IA, Lisa (Chad) DeFauw, Geneseo, IL, Jake (Desiree) Reed, Moline, IL, Ryan Reed, Orlando, FL; second cousins, Harper DeFauw, Parker Reed and godmother, Linda Ferguson, AZ. 

Stacey was met at Heaven's Gates by her grandparents, Thomas and Doris Hughes, and her longtime K9 companion, Gracie.
