Obituary
Stella A. Padakis, 100, passed away August 26, 2021 at St. Anthony’s Nursing & Rehab, Rock Island. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 30, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Pius X Church, Rock Island. Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. until services at church. Entombment is in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the Moline Fire Dept. in memory of Bradley Padakis.
Stella was born April 29, 1921 in Moline, the daughter of Rene and Martha (Van Bellaheim) Dhooge. She married Frank R. Padakis on February 23, 1941 at St. Anne Church, East Moline. He preceded her in death on October 23, 2013.
She was a member of St. Pius Church, Rock Island and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.
Stella is survived by her sons, Gary Padakis, Boyton Beach, FL, Dennis Padakis, Rock Island; grandson, Greg Padakis, Kansas City, KS and great-granddaughters, Rebecca, Holly and great-grandson, Alecsander. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Frank, daughters, Tamara Lee and Gwendolyn “Jean”, daughters-in-law, Gerarda Padakis and Catherine Padakis and grandson, Bradley Padakis, in 2005
