Victoria C. Moore, 71, of Moline passed away Friday, October 23, 2020, in Iowa City, IA.
Visitation is from 2 – 4 p.m. Sunday, November 1, 2020 at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline.
Victoria was born January 7, 1949, in Rugby, ND, the daughter of Stachius and Christine Volk. She married Charles Moore on June 26, 1971 in Morganfield, KY. He preceded her in death on March 27, 2020.
Victoria was a pom-pom girl and thespian (Annie get your Gun) in high school as well as the 1st runner up in the Miss Geographical Center pageant. She graduated from Rugby High and moved to Fargo, ND in the summer of ’67 and went to IBM school. She later worked for an attorney in Kentucky and helped her sister Rita to care for her children. She met, fell in love, and married her husband Charles "Bud" Moore then moved to Moline. In Moline, she worked for Wiener Realtors, for Laird, Chikuras & Brooks, John Deere Insurance and Sentry Insurance until her retirement.
Victoria was a devoted wife and mother to her 3 boys. She cherished time spent with family and granddaughters. She had a beautiful voice and was a great hostess. She loved her flowers, the home she made for her family and believed food was love, especially during Thanksgiving.
Survivors include her sons, Chuck (Angie) Moore, Todd Moore and Ryan Moore; grandchildren, Charli Rose & Samantha Moore and Hallie, Luke, and Noah Mahieu; brothers, Duane, Leonard (Ruth), and Clem Volk; sister, Judy (Ron) Berg, Myrna Volk (Bob), Becky Volk (Larry) and special sister in law, Nanci Volk (Otterson) numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stachius and Christine Volk, brothers Bob and Larry, sister Rita Clements (Volk) and sister-in-law Jackie Volk (wife of Clem) and several nieces and nephews.
